Business Confidence declined in Japan to the lowest reading since the last two years according to the latest Tankan interviews. A decrease in World demand as well as economic tensions between the US and China affect negatively the export oriented Japanese economy.

The head of the ECB Draghi has mentioned that the central bank has to continue its monetary policy as it may help to surpass risks, related to the geopolitical uncertainty.

Manufacturing Eurozone data declined towards the lowest for the past 6 years reading. Index decreased to 47,5 as compared to the previous reading at 49,3.

USD

US retail sales declined which indicates on the pause in economic growth. Economists expected the indicator to grow to 0,3%. As for the yearly basis, the growth was 2,2%.
