The Bank of England makes no changes in the monetary policy

The MPC has decided to leave the monetary policy unchanged. Seven MPC members has voted this decision. Two MPC members have voted for the interest rates cut. MPC voting impacted negatively the British Pound.

Mark Carney has underlined that the Brexit deal gives hope for the UK economic growth. World economy risks include low inflation and weak economic growth.

The Bank of England issued their economic growth forecasts for 2019. According to the officials, the UK economy will show 1,4% growth against 1,3% forecasted in their previous statement.
